Video Scripts

We’d love for you to take the time to film a short video for our August 3rd Anti-Hate vigil. Ideally, we’d love for y’all to speak from the heart and be real. August 3rd affected us in unique ways and we’d like to hear how it affected you. We suggest keeping the video short (30 seconds – 1 minute), but it’s not required. Feel free to use the below sample scripts to share how folks can take action to stand against hate.

Be sure to post this video on August 3, 2020 to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and tag @VotoLatino.

English

A year ago today, our people down in El Paso suffered a mass shooting that left 23 people dead, dozens injured, and an entire community in shambles. That day, Latinos from across the country came together to mourn the victims of this racist terrorist attack.

This year, we turn our grief into action. Go to VotoLatino-dot-org-slash-ElPaso (c3.votolatino.org/elpaso), make a donation to the scholarship fund for victims’ families, and register to vote this November. Because now more than ever, we need leaders who will fight with us to abolish racism and keep our communities safe.
